Interprofessional teamwork is a key to safe, high-quality patient care.  Interprofessional teamwork occurs when multiple different types of health professionals work collaboratively with patients and their families to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Patient safety is a fundamental part of good healthcare, but most clinicians receive very little training in this topic. This course aims to give a broad introduction to this subject with an emphasis on explaining vocabulary that is shared across health care systems. At the completion of this course, the learner will have a strong foundation from which to explore self-education in patient safety topics specific to their own work.

Clinician well-being is an important contributor to patient safety and quality of care. Strategies to enhance clinician well-being can increase job satisfaction among healthcare professionals and simultaneously improve patient outcomes.

This course on palliative care aims to equip clinicians with the necessary tools to enhance patient-centered care through better symptom management, acknowledging the critical role of safe opioid prescribing due to the commonality of pain in serious illnesses. It also addresses the risks associated with polypharmacy, given the complex medication regimens often required by these patients.
